Norma Gay Taliaferro, 68, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb.4, at the First Baptist Church of
Springtown.
Interment: Springtown Cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home.
Norma Taliaferro was born October 15, 1941 in Richamond, VA. She
was the daughter of Eva Mae and Charles Kent. She was also a long
time resident of Springtown. Norma was an avid Christian who loved
the Lord and dedicated much of her life to teaching Sunday school
and spreading His Word. She loved to travel with Sam and was
blessed to be able to see much of the world in her lifetime. Norma
enjoyed spending time with family and was a very big part of the
lives of her grandchildren. She loved being outside and working in
the garden. Her creative spirit will always be with us in the
designs of her gardens, her paintings, her ceramics and numerous
other mediums. She was a Godly woman who blessed all of those who
knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and both sisters.
Survivors: husband, Sam Taliaferro of Springtown; sons, Kenneth
Taliaferro and wife, Dawn, Michael Taliaferro and wife, Sandy all
of Springtown, and Chuck Taliaferro and wife, Lecreca DVM of
Haslet; daughter, Cathy Swofford and husband, Johnathan of
Springtown; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; also a
great church family; and numerous friends and acquaintances.
Memorial gifts can be given to the Mission Fund for Jeremy
Taliaferro at First Baptist Church, Springtown.
