Name:
Virginia Ruth Williams, 84
Died:
Sunday, February 14, 2010, in Fort Worth, Texas
SPRINGTOWN -- Virginia Ruth Williams, 84, left this life to begin her eternal life with our Lord on February 14, 2010.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 18th at White's Funeral Home.
Interment: Jaybird Cemetery
Visitation: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 17th at White's Funeral Home.
Virginia was a self-made woman; she was one of the strongest women we have ever known. Virginia was the baby of 13 children, and started working in the cotton fields as soon as she could walk. Her brothers and sisters were grown and gone but she continued to work and help her mother and father. As a child she had very little except for love and grew into a strong confident woman. Foremost, she was a wife and mother and took the position in her family very seriously. Virginia was married to Arnold for 58 years and was lost when he died in 2002. She raised four children who were all in football, baseball, horse riding and many other activities. Virginia was always right there and was always their Champion, especially if she did not like the way they were being treated. She taught her children faith, responsibility, commitment, and most of all how to love unconditionally. Virginia was very protective of the ones she loved, but also never hesitated to tell them if they were doing wrong. She was extremely intelligent, passionate, and successful. Virginia built several thriving businesses from the ground up, even at a time it was unusual for a woman to own a business. She was a respected business person in the community.
Virginia was our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. She loved and was loved.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Arnold F. Williams; daughter, Ginger Ann Rose; parents, W.C. and Mary Collette; 12 brothers and sisters.
Survivors: sons, Eddie Williams and wife, Pam, Richard Williams and wife, Joan, and Mike Williams and wife, Kathy; son-in-law, Mike Rose; grandchildren, Amy, Shelly, Scott, Chasity, Sheila, Miranda, Mandy, Jake, Cody, Emily, and Mike; great-grandchildren, Miranda, Colton, Bri, Karis, E.J., Ryan, Alex, Brieanne, Matthew, and Ella;
